Reinterpreting myths and folklores have been essential literary strategies throughout literature. This section looks at similar historical explorations of revisionist mythologies in Iran and South Caucasus. How Iranian and Azerbaijani, poets, and artists constructed a tolerant anti-colonial, social democratic, and reformist religious discourse about regional politics and culture that impacted the thinking of generations of Muslims.
